…it’s a mountain.
I didn’t wake up ahead of everyone this morning, so today wasn’t another insane word count kind of day. I got in 1,875 after breakfast, and running some errands that ended at 2:00 instead of noon, thanks to a surprisingly crazy amount of people in the stores.
Here I thought shopping would be relatively light today, since everyone was driving home from Thanksgiving. Huh. Who knew?
This puts me at 41,939 for a total. I’m projected to cross the Nano finish line on the 29th, assuming I manage 1,344 words a day between now and then. I’m not going to say ‘this won’t be a problem’, even though it doesn’t look like one on the surface.
My goal for the rest of the week is to look into the hole between the middle of the middle of the story (where stuff blows up) and the end of my story (where more stuff blows up). I know that stuff is supposed to blow up there, too, and I even have a general idea of what stuff’s going to blow up there, unless the Post-It® note I’ve stuck over that hole is lying to me.
I’m not ruling that out. Experience has taught me that Post-It® notes can have their own agendas.
I would like to have that hole filled up with more than a Post-It® before the end of NaNoWriMo, because once Nano’s done, I’m setting the mess aside until January.
